Is Paralyzed Veterans of America a Scam or Legitimate?

After years of dedicating your life to your profession, you’ll probably agree there’s nothing more fulfilling than to be recognized for your contributions. 

In today’s post, I will shed light on how veterans can enjoy life beyond the confines of the military through the congressionally chartered service organization and ultimately answer whether the Paralyzed Veterans of America a scam or a legit organization. 

 

I often wonder what life will be if an unexpected circumstance happens. 😕

Will my life flip upside down if I face an accident in the future? Will I be able to navigate and execute my plans for the future on my own? 

I do not want to sound like I’m bringing bad news, but the reality is – no one can forecast what the divine universe has planned for you. 

We can plan all we want, but things don’t just fall right into our desired “molds” sometimes. And if there is one career that is out of the ordinary and is reasonably tricky to map out, then that would be in the military. 

 

You see, military service is a far cry from civilian life. 🎖️

From extraordinary discipline and psychological preparedness to unmatched physical hardship, the everyday life of soldiers is indeed a challenging one but is most certainly a rewarding one also. 

Their wounds and scars reflect how willing they are to sacrifice their lives and time for our freedom and the protection of every one of us. 

As a sign of appreciation and support, many organizations have been created for our veterans to enjoy the best benefits like high-quality health care, financial assistance for food and medical expenses, and various education grants.

According to the latest report, there are around 40 thousand charities with military-related missions. However, not all of these are of value, and some were even reported as total scams! 

According to FTC data, fraudulent charities and loan and investment scams have cost veterans around $338 million in the past few years alone. 

To give you peace of mind and to let you know whether you are donating to a legitimate organization that actually helps our heroes, I decided to create a review for one of the oldest organizations called PVA and answer whether it’s a recommended one or not. 

In this last part of this post, I also included a better way by which you can consistently earn online as a veteran without putting it all on the line. 💰

What Is Paralyzed Veterans Of America All About?

From the name itself, you can expect that this organization mainly caters to our military heroes who have been affected by spinal cord dysfunction, severe injuries, and diseases. 

It has been around since 1946, and it remains to be one of the most trusted and most prominent non-profit organizations in Washington. In fact, it has 34 chapters representing all the 50 states!

They provide exceptional and empowering services not only to the veterans but also to their families. They usually hold special events and grant educational assistance to deserving families. 

They also contribute to the financial expenses like hospital bills (medical and caregiver support), shelter and food needs, as well as legal services to its members.

After researching it heavily, I also found out that they are connected to several hospitals all over the U.S, where as a member, you can take advantage of huge discounts on their treatments and regular check-ups. 

 

And when I say hospitals, I do not mean small-time ones! 🙂

The organization is connected to some of the best ones so that all members can get access to the most qualified doctors and the best treatment facilities. 

And perhaps this is the reason why Paralyzed Veterans of America has three significant recognitions:

In terms of media presence, you can see this establishment is actually identified and repetitively featured at ABC Action News, Fox 5 News, Weis Market, and other prominent media outlets. 

Most of these features are based on the sports events that the organization holds to empower its members. 

Social-media-wise, they have an outstanding 62k followers on Facebook, 22k on Twitter, and 7k on Instagram, with all of the accounts being verified with blue stickers on their name. 

Personally, I love the fact that PVA is not really “pushy” on the concept of donation. Their social media posts are focused on presenting how much fun the members are having despite the challenges they are facing.

 

So, from my perspective – it is a legitimate organization. ✅

Before I forget, they also have regular calls for volunteers, so if you ever want to spend one of your weekends with PVA, all you have to do is drop them a message through email or connect with them via Facebook (since this is where they are most active).

At the same time, they also have real career opportunities with a handsome set of benefits. As of writing, they are actively hiring for Director of Medical Services, Deputy Director of Communication, Digital Marketing Coordinator, and Financial Services Manager.

Additionally, I enjoy the fact that they have outstanding services that can seriously rival other non-profit organizations out there.

Based on what you get by joining, I think that it is well worth it! You can finally be part of a community where you can empower like-minded individuals for zero dollars. 

Since it is just an organization that seeks to help, please note that it will not allow you to earn consistent money, okay? In this sense, you cannot rely on this alone to pay your bills and other expenses.🔌💡
