When all of these are done, and you have passed their review process, you will get an e-mail giving you instructions on where to download the Shipt app (for shoppers), complete your online training, and then they will send you a t-shirt and the official debit card that you will use to pay for the shops during your run.

The online training is pretty comprehensive and will teach you exactly how to use the application and the exact rules of conduct of the personal shopper. There will be a final test after the training, and once you get a passing remark, you can start working and make money with Shipt.

In terms of compensation, the base pay is that you get around $6 per shop + a 7.5% commission of how much the client spent + the tip. 💸

 

Depending on the number of items you have to buy and how far is the delivery address, you can easily complete an order within 30 minutes and get another client, so that means you can get 2 clients per hour.

In addition, they also have very good customer service where they have a separate number for customers and their contractors. 

If you ever face any issue with the app, you can simply call, e-mail, message, or contact the live chat assistant straight away. I guess this is why it has a good 4.5-star rating on Trustpilot, a 3.4-star rating on Indeed, and 4 stars on G2. 

The only drawback I see here is that Shipt is only available in selected metro areas and large cities across the United States. 

This is very much different from the huge claim of Instacart (their major competitor) who provides service for all the 50 states and the Canadian provinces. They’re still making plans and changes this 2022, and I guess that is something we just might see in the future.
