The app’s primary goal is obviously taking cool-looking shots, and your tasks will vary depending on your location. Some companies or organizations have asked for these images to use the data you took. Some duties include gathering store prices, capturing people’s emotions, photographing nearby facilities, or documenting societal conditions. You can also complete surveys, but they pay less than the location-based picture-taking jobs. It’s genuinely a shutterbug’s dream.

The minimum cash-out amount varies depending on the type of cash-out option, and pay rates vary depending on the location. Premise App Review

Premise is a mobile-only get-paid-to app that lets you make a little extra cash or Bitcoin by completing location-based tasks and responding to their surveys. David Soloff and Joseph Reisinger founded it in 2012 as a data analytics business. Premise gathers local data from worldwide through your participation as a contributor, then sends it to the companies and organizations that have requested it. In turn, you will receive monetary compensation for your contribution.

After signing up with your email address, you will be asked to allow location access all the time. Once you give the app your location, you can view more tasks on the dashboard. Depending on where you are, there might be two or three tasks, some might have more, and some might appear rarely. So, not everyone gets the same number of assignments, and not everyone will earn the same amount.

 

The fact that there are different earning opportunities everywhere is concerning.

Therefore, if you live in the city, you have the advantage over those in rural areas because you will get more offers and make more money. However, there are also places where, despite being a city, there aren’t many opportunities, so you shouldn’t count on making much money. You can’t blame Premise for this, though, because they are not making up these tasks; instead, they are requested by other entities. It’s a plus that they give you a fair wage, but not much more than that.

If you click on the task from the Locate section, you will receive the instructions on what they require you to capture. You first have to give the app access to your camera so you can start taking pictures. You do need to follow their instructions very carefully because they use technology to verify your image. You can do other tasks even if the previous one has not been verified yet. You will be paid around $0.50 – $1 for each job, which is relatively decent for that much work.

There are also Explore tasks that might not always be available—these are tasks that take longer to complete since you are required to answer some questions at a particular location, and it pays more than Locate jobs. Moreover, there are training tasks, but these are unpaid ones since the focus is to teach you how to use the Premise app. But I suggest you take these unpaid ones since they unlock more tasks after every training assignment that you complete. It won’t take so much time, and you will have more earning opportunities within the app.

Is the verification automated only, you ask? The quality control checks will be run both automatically and manually. If you don’t follow instructions, your submission will be rejected, so the data you submitted to them will not be used. You don’t need to worry about being rejected randomly, but I’ve seen users complain about being denied even though they followed instructions, unfortunately. If you submit a query on your rejection, their team will explain what happened.

Once your submission is accepted, their data scientists and engineers will make a report and visualize the data you and other users have sent. Afterward, they will deliver it to their client. Also, remember that all data users submit are anonymized, so you can’t request your photo to be sent back to you.

 

 

Moreover, some tasks will require you to go to a certain location to take a photo…

… so you might actually spend more money on going to that place but receive less reward. You must also have a mobile internet connection, which can still cost you money. I suggest you complete those tasks within walking distance of your place so you don’t have to spend money on transportation or gas. It’s also advisable to only do jobs when subscribed to a mobile data connection, so you don’t need to pay extra for little compensation. But hey, you do, you boo!

However, I wouldn’t say that the effort-to-rewards ratio is reasonable since achieving one task takes time and effort, but the payment is not much. So, if you live somewhere that does not get many jobs or the signal is prolonged, I don’t suggest you use this app because of the earning potential. However, you can use it to your advantage if there are Premise tasks you can do while grocery shopping. At the end of the day, you spend a lot of time and money for modest rewards.

 

Furthermore, if you really want to maximize your earnings…

… without going outside of your house and taking a break from picture-taking, you can utilize their survey section. Most of the time, the surveys on Premise have multiple choice exams, so it won’t take a lot of time to complete. They pay around $0.05 – $0.10, which may not be a lot, but they usually take about 3 minutes to finish. However, there’s a limit to how many people can answer a particular one, so it disappears once the total number of individuals is reached.

 

Yet, not everything is terrible about this app.

The one good thing I really love about it is that it has awesome customer support, meaning that any inquiries or feedback you have will be read and swiftly replied to by one of its representatives. You can be assured that they will address any concerns you might have accordingly. You can submit a support ticket using their support panel if you click on Report a Problem. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

They also have a FAQ page that answers the most basic topics regarding this app. But bear in mind that this is not that useful since it only covers some of the basic questions that users are curious about or having problems with.

 

How to Withdraw Money From The Premise App 

Depending on where you are, your currency will depend on your country, and once you have earned enough money, you can withdraw through PayPal, Coinbase, or through direct bank transfer. Depending on these methods, the payment threshold will also vary, but it should be lower than $5, which is a shallow and achievable threshold. The best and fastest way is through PayPal, of course!

 

There are times, though, that Premise experiences unexpected fraud attacks…

… which can affect the withdrawal process. If the system says that you cannot withdraw your earnings, it may be because they are preventing the attack or experiencing a system failure or outage. When this happens, their engineers will work immediately, solving cash-out issues within a week of the problem. While waiting, you can still complete more of their tasks, so by the time you withdraw your money, it will be much higher. So don’t panic if this happens!

The app is more challenging than you think because Premise asks for many photos and answers, which need to be clear and precise since they will use this data in real life. Most of the time, you really have to go out of your way to get the picture they require you to take. Other times, you might find yourself standing in the middle of a grocery shop aisle, trying to figure out your task.

 

 

Speaking of standing in the middle of grocery aisles…

…you might often experience the app not recognizing the items you are taking a picture of. You might also experience images or products not being accepted by the system. Another issue revolves around the price monitoring task of grocery items because there was a time when I completed the initial tasks only to check again and see that they had added 10 more items. Sometimes jobs vanish and come back after a minute or two which can be confusing.

This a friendly reminder that using the Premise app means giving it your personal information and location. While any data regarding their tasks are anonymously submitted, you should be careful in surveys or questions that dig deeper into who you are. I even suggest using a pseudonym and refraining from sharing your personal records because it’s very common for apps like these to sell your details if they ever get close to shutting down. So, please be super cautious about this!

 

 

Is The Premise App Legit?

Yes, the Premise app is legit, but I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone because the earning opportunities vary by location, and the time-to-money ratio is not worth it most of the time. If you live in an area where the Premise app has a lot of tasks, and your phone always has a mobile data connection, this app is ideal for you. However, if you live in an area where you can only get zero to one task per day, you have to travel for the tasks, and you have to buy load for a data connection, then ignore this app and don’t look back because it’s not worth it.

I understand that the app has a unique earning opportunity; you only have to take pictures to earn, but it’s not easy as it seems. You will be asked to take photos and answer questions to make the data you will submit to them as accurate as possible. You must complete all requirements they ask you for each task to get your monetary reward. If you got paid a dollar each time you submitted a shot, then that would be okay. However, answering the questions that come after is what you will spend most of your time on, so please have that in mind when making your end decision. Remember, it’s your time, and you can do whatever you please with it! If you believe the rewards-to-effort ratio is worth it, go for it!

 

Furthermore, the Premise app is not one where you can upload photos from your gallery because you must take pictures according to the app’s instructions depending on the task. There are tasks for grocery shopping, tasks for roads, or tasks for sea walls—it can be completely random, which is pretty annoying since it continuously keeps you in limbo. Still, the data collected from your photos will be carefully considered before being submitted to Premise’s clients.

While the Premise app is legit, its main drawback is that you won’t be able to earn efficiently because it involves going to certain places to complete one task, so it might not be worth your time to travel for little reward. They have surveys that you can utilize instead, but you won’t earn as much as completing the tasks.
