If you have been doing your research about your possible brokers, you might have seen tons of disclaimers and warning boxes before executing a position that is somewhat similar to this:

You can always do a simple YouTube or Google search to learn more about this form of investment. 

However, if you are interested in having all the latest information in just one spot, Option Alpha is undoubtedly the one for you. 

Run by Kirk du Plessis, the founder, CEO, and lead analyst, this platform remains a massive following because of its *free* option.

 

Yep, you read that right! A free subscription to the platform! 🆓

The fact that you do not need to pay for anything to take advantage of the comprehensive video lessons related to trading makes this learning platform a solid choice for total newbies! 

All the lessons are developed by Kirk himself and his team of professionals. With its unique value proposition, there is no surprise that the Option Alpha community just kept on expanding throughout the years.  

They have one of the most significant numbers of subscribers in their field, such as 211k on YouTube, 21k on Facebook, 10k on Instagram, and 28k on Twitter! 

 

Add to this its incredible community of around 50,000 traders worldwide! 

Part of their mission is to provide high-quality education and tools that will allow you to navigate the treacherous realities of options trading masterfully. 

They are not promising that you can get tons of money out of their system or through the strategies they teach you. 

Instead, they reiterate in all of their lessons that the company’s goal is to give you confidence and not let you gamble your money away. 

So, here’s what you can expect from their platform – systematic and scientifically tested strategies to help you trade options alone. 📊👌

 

Again, they will not touch on other assets such as penny stocks or forex. Their primary focus is on options trading and how to get you the most value for your investment.

 

And for me, this is something incredible! 👍

I mean, we have seen lots of financial newsletters that charge significant amounts of cash and are clearly investing in different areas thinking that diversification is the way to go. 

Of course, diversification is good, but don’t you want to focus on the assets that will allow you to profit more in the long run? 

And this is what Option Alpha is all about. It is straight to the point that their only concern is options and nothing more. Add to that is that it does not charge anything for its members! 

I mean, no hidden charges or “clicks”, and ads will lead you to checkout services. The free account already holds phenomenal lessons that can comfortably rival what other “gurus” on the market are presenting.

 

However, in terms of credibility – I couldn’t really find any other companies that mentioned this platform at all. 

Usually, you can see a lot of hypes around a trading course. Still, for the case of Option Alpha, they were never mentioned by any media powerhouse, celebrities or anyone for that matter. 

 

Honestly, this is what made me question their legitimacy. 🤔

Upon checking the quality of their lessons, I was quite surprised that they do not have many followers because, as mentioned earlier, the courses’ quality can rival those that you can get from Udacity or Udemy, only in here, everything is free. 

I guess this is just the classic notion that we have at the back of our mind where if a course is given for free, then there must be something wrong with it. That is not the case of Option Alpha.

Is Option Alpha Worth It?

Once you sign up with the site, you will be tasked to choose the track you want to follow for a more personal experience. You can choose beginner, intermediate, and advanced. 

For our review, I have chosen track one for beginners to try and test out the options available for rookies and see if there will be any upsells during the lesson.

 

Once you are inside the dashboard, you will see three major sections: 👇

To be honest, I really think that their free membership is already enough for beginners, and I do not see any reason why you should pay for the premium membership. 

Just by looking at the things you can access upon payment, the pro membership of $99 per month, the elite at $299, and the lifetime at $1997 are not worth it.

I am saying that the trading alerts and strategy calls are not worth the payment because if you are genuinely interested in options trading, you should be the one checking and continuously reviewing your positions.

Once again, online courses like Option Alpha are just there to give you some advice and real perspectives about the market. But at the end of the day, it is you who should call the shots.

It is nice to know that they have trading alerts, but please remember to never follow these blindly with the hopes of just adding your money on your broker and letting Option Alpha’s team do the heavy lifting.

In terms of content, the platform is really in its best shape, and there is nothing more that I can say about its well-developed lessons, easy-to-understand discussions, and downloadables that are worth your time.

 

Will I pay for the added alerts? Certainly not. ❌

That’s my answer because when I tried options back in the day, I realized that it is something that you should give your full attention to. Therefore, you do not need trade alerts.

All you need is to check your positions from time to time and make sure everything is running as it should be.

 

Is Option Alpha A Scam?

If there is one thing that I like about Options Alpha, then that would be its clear disclaimer that their sole purpose for existing is to properly educate all the newcomers looking to profit out of options trading.

They always explain the risks involved and remind you that this is not a get-rich-quick scheme.

Instead, they ask you to understand that dealing with the market can be challenging, but at the same time, it’s very much possible to ride it out like a pro if you know the basics.

With this being said, I believe that Option Alpha is not a scam, and I highly recommend its free membership since it offers tons of helpful content that can help you out in the trading world. ✅🤟

 

Add to that the company’s fantastic YouTube channel that offers free training, and you have a platform worthy of subscribing to.

However, in terms of the paid-membership schemes, trust me when I say that it is not worth your time.

Alerts are great, but they shouldn’t come at such a hefty price! If your goal is to become a real trader, I do not recommend investing your hard-earned cash in such schemes.

 

Instead of getting alerts, you can simply look at the charts yourself! 😁

You don’t have to worry about not being a professional and all of that because with the lessons you can find at Options Alpha, understanding the charts will be much more comfortable!

 

As I always say – you are still the captain of your ship. 🚢🏴‍☠️

Never allow yourself to be hyped up by the perceptions of other traders and their earnings. I have been in your situation before, thinking you can follow the crowd on where they are investing.

 

However, that is not the path to success. 🛑✋

Following someone’s advice blindly is pretty much the same as gambling, and we as aspiring traders should never fall for it.

 

How I Made $4.376 Last Month! (And how you too can!) 

Options trading can indeed be an excellent way to put that extra money to fair use, but please be aware that many traders out there try to portrait it to be a whole lot easier than it really is.

I mean, you do not need to invest a lot to earn a few hundred bucks here, but allow me to burst your bubble by saying that you shouldn’t expect to turn $50 into $1000 just by doing this alone.

It is indeed possible, but only if your stock pick suddenly enters the big leagues, and I’m sorry to say, but the chances of that happening are slim and not as common as we would like them to be.

 

In other words – don’t expect significant returns without a big investment! 🙂
