Although their site claims that you can become a tester from any country, keep in mind that this is only good for first-rate countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.

 

You don’t really need any previous experience to get started. 🙂

Most PlaytestClouds’ players are regular everyday folks like you and me; some just happen to be highly passionate gamers. As long as you enjoy playing mobile games and don’t mind writing game bug reports, you should be quite alright.

 

All of the big game studios…

…such as Ubisoft, Gameloft, Niantic, Activision, and WarGaming are partners with PlaytestCloud, and they pay you to test games mainly in pre-development so that they can learn more about how you, as a user, are interacting with them.

Contrary to common belief, you as a game tester won’t get paid just to sit around and do nothing all day long. You will test all kinds of games, for which you will have to write detailed reports of each bug so that the gaming companies can later fix them to improve the overall user experience for future customers.

Playtestcloud has developed a unique software that screens and touch records your gameplay, so you don’t have to do anything extraordinary but play the game for which you have been selected. Once you’re done playing, the software will lock you away from the game, so you can’t play it anymore, sadly.

Please remember that the software only records while you’re playing and stops as soon as you’re done. Oh, and besides recording your action on the screen, it also records what you say through the microphone, so you might want to be careful.

As a game tester, you’ll need to share your thoughts and feelings out loud so that PlaytestCloud knows exactly what you’re doing and experiencing at that moment. You are also not allowed to share any information about the game since you agree to a non-disclosure agreement by signing up. ~ they may take legal action.

 

How Much Can You Really Earn With PlaytestCloud?  

Even though PlaytestCloud claims you can earn $36 for only one hour of gameplay, you must understand that this will likely never happen. Yes, making $9 for 15 minutes of gameplay is possible, but the issue comes when you realize that you won’t get to test games regularly. ~ perhaps once or twice a week at best.

Considering that playtests invitations are sent based on age, interestest, and the type of games you’re a fan of, please don’t be surprised if you don’t get an invitation for quite a long time. I joined this platform a few weeks ago, but since I live in Macedonia, I still haven’t gotten any invitations, unsurprisingly.

 

I’m sure you’ll earn more if you live in a first-tier country, but when it’s all said and done, you must understand that this is nothing more than a mere hobby. Being a playtested is not a full-time job but more of a fun and relaxing way to earn a little pin money at the end of each month. ~ you definitely won’t get rich.

No, PlaytestCloud is not a scam. It’s a legit game testing platform that allows you to earn a little extra money by testing games during prototyping, production, pre-launch, and release. Yet, please understand that you won’t get rich from it and that pin money is all you get at the end of each month. It’s what it is. 

 

While it is true that…

…you can earn $9 for 15-minute gameplay, regularity is what keeps you from making more here. Their $36 an hour claim is a bit exaggerated since the chances of you getting four games to test in a row are very unlikely, almost unthinkable. 

This is more of a hobby-type of opportunity ideal for people who are into games. If you’re a passionate gamer who loves mobile games, you can come here and earn a few bucks, just enough to treat yourself to something nice at the end of each month. ~ PlaytestCloud is %100 legit and pays only through PayPal. 

 

If you’re someone interested in…

…building a real, sustainable long-term business online, then I’m sorry to break it to you; this isn’t for you. However, it would be best if you did not despair because, as I mentioned at the beginning of this PlaytestCloud review, I have a much better alternative that is way more profitable and offers countless more benefits.
