Before we dig into it, I just want to let you know that, unlike some of the other PureProfile reviews you might have come across by now, I am in no way, shape, or form affiliated with this website. My only intention is to provide you with a truthful analysis of the platform to the best of my ability, so you can determine whether it’s the right choice for you. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride!

 

What Is PureProfile?

PureProfile is an online paid survey site where you can sign up for free and get compensated for sharing your opinions. Companies use the collected information from surveys in order to identify new trends and understand how consumers from different niches behave so they can ultimately improve their service.

As a market research company, the more information you are willing to provide about yourself, the more surveys will be offered to you. Building an up-to-date profile gives you more surveys to answer and, therefore, more chances of earning money. However, doing so doesn’t save your account from being suspended!

 

Here’s what worries me the most about this site.

Plenty of accounts have been suspended without reason, with users receiving an email from PureProfile asking for a valid photo ID and being promised that everything will be resolved. But a quick Google search online reveals plenty of opposing opinions. PureProfile’s customer service is basically non-existent.

The site has been in operation since 2000 and has been featured in multiple media outlets. But despite being around for more than ten years, their Trustpilot rating is so low (currently at 1.9). Why do people still bother signing up?

Only a handful have sworn that they’ve received money from PureProfile, but even if you decide to trust this site, please manage your expectations. Paid online survey sites don’t pay a lot, especially if you aren’t from a well-developed country. Just because you received money from the site doesn’t mean you can start planning your retirement, and I just want to make sure you’re aware of that.

How To Register For PureProfile

Signing up is easy! You must be at least 15 years old and a resident of the following countries: the US, the UK, the UAE, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Thailand.

After you’ve created your account, they will ask you to update your profile by answering their profile update campaigns. As usual, you will be asked to give out personal information such as age, gender, education, household income, etc. The more information you give, the easier it will be to match you with surveys. So if you want more surveys available, you have to keep your profile updated.

 

You also have the option to…

…link your social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, or Google) to your profile. This automatically fills out your basic information; of course, you can also do this manually. Do not be alarmed if this is your first time doing paid surveys online. Unless you explicitly allow it, the information is not matched back to you.

Personal questions are only typically used for classification or screening purposes. But it’s always good practice to stay vigilant online. Reputable survey sites will never ask for your SSN, bank account information, password, or money. You should be okay if you don’t divulge information you aren’t comfortable sharing.

 

Answering Surveys

Before answering the main survey, you will be asked to answer a qualifying survey. If you qualify for one, the pay rate and the time to complete are shown as a range. So sometimes, you aren’t really sure if you will spend 10 minutes or upwards of 45 minutes with a single survey, which, if you ask me, actually sucks!

The pay rate depends on not only the length of the survey but also your country of residence. Surveys targeted towards residents of already well-developed countries such as the UK, the US, New Zealand, and Australia have higher pay compared to the surveys users from the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand receive.

Depending on your country, you may only get 1-2 surveys daily, which is a totally unfair disadvantage if you ask me. Yet, you can’t really blame Pureprofile for this because it only means that you don’t fit the qualifications that the company conducting the research is searching for, unfortunately.

 

Receiving Payouts

Reward options and the minimum payout will depend on your country. But generally, you’d need at least $20 in your PureProfile account, which is a higher threshold than other sites. If you’ve used the site before, you’re probably already aware of its infamous redemption limit. Wherein PureProfile restricts users to a $70 payout every 60 days. Thankfully, PureProfile has recently removed this policy.

But even if the policy remained, most users don’t even remotely reach the limit because of PureProfile’s lack of survey options, which is probably this site’s biggest drawback. At least, it’s probably what annoys me the most about it.

PayPal and bank transfers can take up to 30 business days to be processed, which feels like an eternity in this day and age. Other sites usually take 2-5 days at maximum. Many users have even complained about not being paid even after 30 days or not being rewarded the promised amount.

 

 

Customer Support

On PureProfile, you can submit a contact form and ask for help or reach out to them through their Facebook page. Support is pretty responsive over at Facebook; I wish the same could be said with their email support. So with all this information, we have with us, we can pretty much answer the question…

 

Is PureProfile Legit? 

In conclusion, PureProfile is a decent site that you can use to complete surveys and earn some easy cash from the comfort of your home with a laptop or mobile device (it is available as an app on Android and iOS devices). Signing up is easy and available in a lot of countries. However, it has its fair share of cons.

Although legit, the pay rate could be higher, and it takes a long time to cash out. Even though PureProfile is available in many countries, it can be hard to qualify for most of their surveys if you’re not in a more developed country like the US, UK, New Zealand, or Canada, to name a few. I wouldn’t even bother using a VPN because there’s a big chance that you’ll get caught and lose all of your earnings.

 

And, by the way, NO, it’s not possible to earn $497 a month.

The $20 payout threshold is higher than other online paid survey sites. You may redeem payments through PayPal, bank transfer, gift cards, movie tickets, and petrol discounts. The option to redeem cash is available in some countries.

 

Besides, payment can take up to 30 business days, which from where I’m standing, is a problem if you only rely on sites like this for income. If you spend 3-4 hours of your day filling out surveys, you sacrifice a lot of time for a small reward. Survey sites are not designed to give you a stable income and are only good for earning petty cash during your downtime, so even if you decide to pursue this opportunity, it would be best to do it with the right expectations.

PureProfile has left a sour taste on many users, and a quick scroll on Trustpilot will tell you why. The number of negative reviews far outweighs the positive ones, with many complaints having to do with their accounts being wrongfully suspended and their money withheld. Spending so much time on a website that rarely delivers is very counterproductive. So while PureProfile requires minimal effort, all you get is pocket change. In the end, it’s your time, so use it wisely!
