Can Clickfunnels Replace Your Website? Hmmm…

Clickfunnels is a great marketing tool that is helping businesses throughout the world to achieve better conversion rates and higher-than-expected revenues.

It has changed the marketplace for the better, and that’s what makes it the go-to choice for many business owners who are looking for a more efficient way to market and sell their products and services online.

A huge chunk of website owners want to know if it’s a smart move to transition to Clickfunnels or stick with the traditional way of running a business. Without a doubt, Clickfunnels is one of the most excellent funnel builders the industry has ever seen, but what worries most people is the big question: Can Clickfunnels Replace Your Website?

Please Note: I’m no longer using Clickfunnels as my funnel builder and that’s why I want to recommend a different tool that comes at a cheaper price and offers the same funnel building options as Clickfunnels does. I have mentioned it at the bottom of this post, so please feel free to take a look at it.

Website vs. Sales Funnel

There is a specific time and place for both a website and a sales funnel, but your choice depends entirely on the goal you’re trying to achieve. We’ll discuss the main differences between a website and a sales funnel and let you decide whether you want to stick with the traditional way of building a website or move to a more sales-focused one.

What is a Website and how does it work?

A website is a collection of linked pages that form a larger structured document and share a single domain name. A website can be made up of a single page or have hundreds of pages that link with one another.

You must know by now that having a website is the point of departure when it comes down to making your online presence felt, and there’s a strong possibility you’re standing on the verge of extinction if you are not using one.

Having a website builds credibility and provides your business with accessibility around the clock. It’s a great thing to have, but if your ambition is to make more sales, then you might consider replacing it with something that is more sales-focused – like a sales funnel for an example.website vs sales funnel Websites are filled with tons of additional options that can easily distract the users and point them in the wrong direction. They don’t give you any control over the user, and that’s why they are not considered the ideal solution for selling stuff online.

It’s like going to the supermarket to buy a single bread loaf and a gallon of milk. Chances are you’ll leave the store with everything besides the bread and milk. This usually happens because you tend to get distracted by so many things that you were not even looking for in the first place.

Websites get their main piece of traffic from search engines like Google, Bing, etc. To get this type of traffic, you need to focus on search engine optimization (SEO), which usually takes a long time, but will provide your website with a steady flow of traffic for quite some time.

The primary purpose of a website is to create awareness about your business and help the users find the necessary information that they were looking for. They are also used to attract new prospects, but time has shown that there are many better options to acquire leads than using a website.

My fellow colleague Grant Sudduth from Wealthy Affiliate has explained the most crucial difference between a sales funnel and a website and if you want to learn a thing or two from him then you might want to read this post.

How do Funnels Work?

A sales funnel presents a series of steps the users need to go through to reach the final destination. They are very accurate and provide the users with guidance – from top to bottom. They make sure the visitor is not lost and help him find the thing he was initially looking for much faster than a traditional website.

Funnels offer fewer distractions than a traditional website and tell the visitors exactly what they need to do to make it to the next step of the funnel. This makes them the perfect solution for promoting and selling stuff online. They get straight to the point and leave out all the inessential information aside. can clickfunnels replace your websiteThey give the funnel host more control over the users and make the entire buying process run much smoother. Funnels can push the visitor down the funnel without any hesitation, and that’s why they are commonly used to attract leads and sell stuff online.

It’s like walking into a supermarket that only has one item on the shelf. You don’t have many options rather than to buy the item or leave the store.

Opposite from websites – funnels get their traffic through paid advertising. They are not ideal for search engine optimization, and you’re better off sticking with a traditional website if you’re not ready to invest in paid traffic. Sales funnels offer a high return on investment but require you to pull out some money from your pockets first.

This post is a great resource that I found and I’m sure you can learn a great deal about how funnels work from it.

Can You Make a Website with Clickfunnels?

You can most definitely make a website with Clickfunnels, but you’re better off hiring a developer or using a content management system like WordPress. Although it’s possible to build a website with Clickfunnels, it’s probably not the best idea, especially if you’re running a larger company.

You can get away with it if you’re running a smaller enterprise, because you’ll need less content to fill out the website, and the pages can be linked with one another more easily.can you make a website with clickfunnelsA more prominent company will require more substantial amounts of content, and that’s why the website building process might run the smoothest if you’re using a platform like WordPress.

The benefit of using Clickfunnels as a website builder is the fact you will be able to build a simple website and still have leftover funnels to play around with. You can easily create a ten-page website and have multiple funnels pointing to it. You will get the best from both worlds.

The website is going to be a representation of your business, while the funnels take care of the more sales-focused tasks. What we’re trying to say is – you’ll kill two birds with one stone.

And if you’re still determined to use a website, then I can show you how to build a fully optimized one, step by step, without spending a bunch of money on useless plugins that will reduce your site’s speed and place it at the end of the tail in terms of rankings.

Can Clickfunnels Replace Your Website?

Clickfunnels can replace your website, especially if you’re running a smaller enterprise or a one-person show. It’s not the ideal solution for blogging, but you can get away with if your website has less than twenty pages. If your site is larger and has more than twenty pages, then it’s best to use a content management platform like WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.

I don’t like to say that Clickfunnels can replace your website, but serve as an addition to it. You can gather leads with the remarkable features Clickfunnels provides you with and then link them to your leading site.

Do You Need a Website to Use Clickfunnels?

The answer is NO – You can use Clickfunnels separately or combine it with your site.

Clickfunnels has its own hosting, so you can use it without merging it with your existing website. If you decide to use Clickfunnels and combine it with your current website, then you will realize that it can help you create stunning pages that are conversion optimized and will help you get more leads and sales for your business.

How to test Clickfunnels for free?

Clickfunnels is a powerful and fun tool to play around with. It can enhance your conversion rates and help strengthen the overall performance of your business. My recommendation is to test it out and see if it’s the right solution for your company.

Create a couple of test pages and link them with one another. See how much time and effort it takes and then decide if you want to continue to use Clickfunnels as a website builder or not.

And if you feel like the price of Clickfunnels is a little bit too much for you, then you might want to try Autofunnel By GetResponse instead. I have even compared the two platforms against each other and I have no doubt that you’ll reach a decision much faster if you take a look at my comparison article.
